Registry

Nothing is expected, but should you feel compelled: we’ll accept contributions to our honeymoon or renovating our garden.

What’s the vibe?

It’s a garden hangout 😎

There’s no better place in the summertime than Seattle, so come spend it in our backyard and the park next door. We’ll have light bites during the day, catered dinner, and plenty of beverages so you won’t go thirsty.

Attire

Casual summer attire; Seattle is generally warm and dry this time of year. The lake is a 5 minute stroll from our front door, so bring a swimsuit and towel if you’d like to join us for a swim!

Activities

Mostly hanging around at our place and in the park. We will have our house and backyard open; swimming and yard games available in the park.

Seattle Seafair is taking place, so we’ll watch the Blue Angels fly overhead from 3:30 to 4:50p. ✈️

Where to stay & getting around

Lodging

We recommend looking at Airbnb or VRBO, however, there are plenty of hotel options closer to downtown / Capitol Hill. Here are some of our recommendations and how far they are from our house.

  • Columbia City: Closest neighborhood with a cute downtown core. 7 min drive or 20 min bus.

  • Beacon Hill: Lots of availability and great restaurants and views. 15 min drive or 10 min lightrail + 5 min rideshare.

  • Capitol Hill: Most walkable with lots of food and beverage options. 25 min drive or 30 lightrail + 5 min rideshare.

🚨 Where to avoid: Anything north of Lake Union, since there is lots of construction along I-5 this summer.

Transit options

Bus: Route 50 stops a block away from our place. Also serves the Othello and Columbia City lightrail stations.

Lightrail: Othello lightrail station is closest to us, it’s a 5 minute Uber/Lyft or bus from there.

Car: Traffic will be heavier at times than normal on the south side this weekend and parking might be limited with Seafair.

⚠️ Our street, Holly Terrace, is narrow so there is no parking. Anticipate parking South and West of our house.

Our elopement on Dec 3, 2025

Officiant and witnesses

Zack was our officiant. He is a dear friend turned neighbor and works with Will at Northwest Hospital as a peer ER doctor. When not working at the hospital with Will, he is busy owning an electronic music record store around the corner in Hillman City, absorb records.

Amy is married to Zack and juggles cold plunges and lake swims, mom duty, and neurology at Swedish Medical. Together, they embody a level of love and compassion that inspires us in our own partnership, and it meant the world that they would be such a key part of our ceremony.

Anneli has been a guardian angel for Eric for over 10 years. She is an avid traveler, vintage shopping enthusiast, seamstress, and 90’s pop dancing queen. Anneli lives in Edmonds, WA and is also in healthcare, as a nurse at Seattle Children’s.

Location: Martha Washington Park

Love of nature is central to our shared interests. When considering a location to share our vows, we wanted a place that held significance in our present (where we live + our decision to buy a house together) as well as somewhere we saw as a piece of our future in growing together along a peaceful shore on Lake Washington.
